The beauty of spring is the perfect metaphor for resilience. Each winter, the leaves change colour and slowly fade away, the flowers wilt, and the lakes and rivers freeze over. It’s a difficult time for everyone. Yet come spring each year, the trees become a thousand shades of green, the flowers bloom in every colour, and the water flows and sparkles again. The promise of spring, the promise of new life keeps us going. This dress was made to capture the whimsical beauty of spring. It is made entirely from second hand and recycled fabric. Inspired by 1970s Gunne Sax dresses, this dress was designed and hand sewn by myself!
